July 2018

Group project with Jacqueline, Jose, Nina and Simone.

A digital archive with data visualization for more than 1 065 projects from over 25 years.

To honour the work of our (supervising) professor Günther Biste,
the Hochschule für Gestaltung (HfG) is organising a symposium called "Explaining the World - Visualization in Knowledge Transfer" on 26 October 2018.

The task of our class this semester was to conceptualize and design this symposium.
Part of this symposium should be a digital archive, which contains and provides access to all 1 065 projects from 25 years at the HfG.

The task of me and my team was to develop this archive and prepare it for the final implementation in October.

The archive itself has two approaches. A classic chronological with timeline and a thematic one, in which the projects are sorted by topics and sub-topics. There are also a selected number of filters to refine the results.

Test the archive yourself!

Side note: This is only the final concept. It doesn't contain all projects, merely a selection. The file is also quite big and may need some time to load, especially the blur effects we used.
